I had the pleasure of participating in the first Office Practicum user’s conference in Las Vegas at the end of May. It was great to connect with colleagues from across the country, and put faces to many of you whom I had previously only known via email. Some of you have been using OP longer than I have (user since 2004) and some of you are just getting started in adopting a Pediatric EHR.
One thing was abundantly clear at the meeting: Pediatricians have unique needs when it comes to health information technology. We shared information about best practices. We learned much from each other regarding how to maximze Office Practicum’s pediatric functionality, but also on how to navigate the challenges of practicing Pediatrics in today’s world.
We hope all whom attended got something useful out of the experience. Connexin Software is taking all feedback seriously, and has already begun to act on some great ideas that were suggested. Office Practicum is YOUR Pediatric EHR for a reason. It is through your involvement that the software continues to evolve in a direction that supports Pediatricians.
If you are not a current user, or you feel you are not involved in advancing pediatric functionality, perhaps you should be. If I didn’t have the chance to meet you in Las Vegas, consider joining us at the next user’s conference scheduled for NY City on July 17th and 18th. Hope to see you there!
