Gregory H. Anderson
Co-Founder, Director, Chief Executive Officer
As a Founder, Director, and Chief Executive Officer, Greg is responsible for overall business direction and resource allocation, with a special focus on Product Development and Sales & Marketing strategy. In a rapidly growing company, solid planning and execution is the key to ongoing success. Greg believes in helping everyone associated with the company – employees, customers, and owners – unlock and maximize their talents for collective benefit in the important work we do for the OP Community.
Prior to his involvement in Office Practicum, Greg founded Anderson Financial Systems in 1982, after studying international economics at the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. He was the primary architect of the afs:TRADE system and has over 30 years of experience managing the development of sophisticated Wall Street trading applications. Greg has also participated in several outreach and volunteer projects with his work for Habitat for Humanity and the ISSA Trust Foundation.
Co-Founder, Director, Chief Client Officer
Fred is a Founder, Director, and original CEO of Office Practicum. He currently serves as Chief Client Officer, a position from which he plans and executes strategy for his favorite saying: "Take care of the customer, and the rest will follow." To that end, he directs improvements in the total customer experience for our users, from their first contact as a sales prospect through implementation, training, and regular renewals of the customer relationship.
Fred started in Information Technology with a mission to develop an evolutionary suite of specialty software designed to support the patient/practitioner encounter while providing a comprehensive high quality Medical Practice Management software solution. As the original Founder, he created Office Practicum and maintains his deep involvement in its design and development.
Fred lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Edna.
Michael J. Matlack
Co-Founder, President, Chief Operating Officer
As a Founder, President, and Chief Operating Officer, Mike is the culture czar and the grease in the machine that is Office Practicum. Every day he is thankful to work with a team that works hard, has fun, and truly cares about customers.
Prior to his involvement with Office Practicum, Mike was President of Anderson Financial Systems. At AFS, he was responsible for application design and customer relationship management, with a special emphasis on creating strong internal systems for release management. His experience spans over 25 years of software development and systems engineering, including positions at General Electric’s Global Research and NeXT Computer, Inc.
Mike earned his Masters in Computer Systems Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering at Lehigh University.
Mike, who likes to indulge in a big bowl of Turkey Hill’s Choco Mint Chip ice cream, lives with his wife, Carol, in Cherry Hill, NJ. Their four children are pursuing their passions elsewhere."
Chief Financial Officer
Purdy joins Office Practicum with 13 years of CFO experience, most recently with Markel Corporation, a manufacturer of extruded fluoropolymer products for the automotive and other industries. Prior to Markel, Purdy gained additional financial leadership experience from her tenure as CFO of other private equity backed companies, including SDI Health, which was sold to IMS Health, IPR International, and Renmatix. Purdy spent the first half of her career at Rohm and Haas where she held various financial, sales and market management positions.
Ellen is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a B.S. in Economics, majoring in finance and international business. She later earned an M.B.A. in management strategy and marketing from the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University. She lives in Conshohocken, PA with her husband Steve, son Connor, and dog Rocky.
Susan J. Kressly, MD, FAAP
Dr. Kressly has been in pediatric private practice since 1989 in Bucks County, PA. In addition to using Office Practicum since 2004, she is very active in practice management and HIT initiatives. Sue is a member of the Council on Clinical Information Technology and the Section on Administration and Practice Management of the AAP, as well as the Quality Improvement Innovation Network and Pediatric Research in the Office Setting. She is the President of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and serves as chair of the Pediatric Council/Practice Management Committee. She is involved in PA HIT efforts including the PA-eHealth Initiative, served as advisor to the PA Regional Extension Center vendor selection committee, and was the original beta tester for the real-time bidirectional PA-SIIS. She also maintains a Pediatric-related Information Technology blog, Pediatrician IT Chat, that discusses topics important to electronic pediatric practices.
Sue is committed to advancing pediatric functionality in HIT and giving practicing pediatricians a voice in software advancement. As the company's Medical Director, she believes one of her critical roles in Office Practicum is to be the pediatrician's advocate. She continues to run her own NCQA-Level 3 Medical Home practice where Office Practicum software advancements are alpha-tested.
Sue lives in Warminster, PA with her husband, Greg, CEO of Office Practicum. In their spare time when they are not passionately discussing Office Practicum, they enjoy time at the beach and playing a competitive game of Scrabble.
Dave is the Chief Sales Officer for Office Practicum. He brings a wealth of experience to his position, having spent more than 25 years at some of the nation's largest Healthcare IT companies. Dave has a simple philosophy about sales; if you over deliver and wow the customer, they will do more to help promote sales of your product than any advertising or promotions can hope to achieve.
Prior to joining Office Practicum, Dave was a Regional Sales Director at Quest Diagnostics. He was instrumental in the introduction of Care360 EHR into the market, which yielded more than $60 million in sales for the company. Before joining Quest, he served as Vice President of Sales for the Central and Northeast Regions at Misys Healthcare. He was a member of the executive team that was brought in to reorganize the Misys sales team prior to its merger with Allscripts.
Dave is a graduate of Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD, with a major in Biology and a minor in Business Administration. He currently resides in North Carolina with his wife Jean. They were blessed with three children that are all grown and on their own. His passions include classic cars (muscle cars to be exact), and he’s an avid racquetball and tennis player.
Edna Anne Pytlak, MD, FAAP
Co-Founder, Office Practicum
Dr. Pytlak has been a practicing pediatrician for 25 years. She graduated from Albany Medical College in 1983 and completed her residency at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. She and her partners, Dr. O’Connor and Dr. Dalton, have a pediatric practice in the Brooklyn Heights section of New York with over 4000 active patients. The office is a preceptor site for medical students from Weill Cornell Medical College where she is an assistant professor of outpatient pediatrics. She is also preceptor for nurse practitioner students from Pace University.
One of the original Office Practicum Founders, Dr. Pytlak has retained an ongoing role in assuring Office Practicum's development always meets the core medical management functions currently needed by active practitioners in the field. Dr. Pytlak’s office is the alpha-test site that validates every upgrade and revision to Office Practicum before its release to our general client base.
Edna lives in Brooklyn with her husband, Fred.
Kevin P. Fahey
Chairman of the Connexin Board
Kevin is Chairman of the Office Practicum Board and is a Managing Director at Bluff Point Associates. Prior to joining Bluff Point, Kevin was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Healthland, a Health Care Information Technology company owned by a Private Equity firm. His responsibilities included strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, debt financing, and all financial oversight.
Kevin has spent the last 20 years in domestic and international high technology venture and private equity backed companies. Responsibilities have included strategic planning, Initial Public Offerings (IPO), equity and debt financing, mergers and acquisitions, SEC reporting, full profit and loss management, and operations.
Kevin received a Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from Saint Bonaventure University. He is also a certified public accountant.
